Kiel on the Tracks

If you have noticed the section titled “Random Photos” on the right hand side of the screen you may have noticed there are new pictures there. We recieved another 1 gb card of photos and videos from Kiel yesterday. I uploaded them all to Flickr so you can see them. Click on that “Random Photo” thingy if you want to be taken there. I will put more up with explanations and stories from Kiel over the next few weeks. There are more videos to put up as well. Keep returning for more . . .
I’ve starting using Flickr for photos from his mission and for a few other things I’m working on. They give me the ability to store an unlimited number of photos online in their original large size and connect them to blogs or websites. So, I’m experimenting and seeing what I can do.
Kiel seems very happy. We recieved another letter from him yesterday and he seems good. He is a bit scared about the area he is in, but he does not want to show it. He is afraid that if he is scared they will transfer him and he doesn’t want to be transfered. It seems his area is pretty tough. He was teaching someone on the street the other day who’s entire family is in Mexico, but he lives here and he is the only non-member. He approached Kiel and his companion to ask them to pray for his family. He does not have work and he is afraid his family is starving – he hasn’t heard from them. While they were talking a knife fight broke out across the street and the guy they were talking too ran over and got involve. He and another guy were both stabbed. The police broke it up, but did not arrest anyone. Kiel has not heard from or seen the guy since – at least from what he told us.
Life is all about the stories you can tell . . . .
